Reducing face-to-face training

We replaced all face-to-face soft-skills training with effective and engaging e-learning to reduce travelling requirements and increase the availability of resources to those who work remotely, non-standard hours or who prefer to study at home.
Our soft skills training was provided by a team of three trainers across the whole country - this meant that, in any one location, soft skills training was infrequent and difficult to attend. This situation was exacerbated at small sites or for colleagues who work non-standard hours or remotely. Access is now available 24/7 from anywhere (even from home) and the content is now being expanded.
Freeing up the trainers time has allowed them to focus on bespoke interventions for teams and developing new and more varied training materials - and they get to see more of their own families with the vast reduction in travelling time.
